North East Slab

Have been checking a low-key point break on the North East Coast lately and spotted this slabbing wave breaking around 1000 yards further South.

Deciding that wave looked a bit risky we tried our hand at surfing the point for the first time. It was sketchy getting in and out, and super shallow at first but once you’ve paddled maybe 50 yards out it gets deep and really nice, clean, peeling waves roll in. They weren’t too powerful but with just 3 of us out when every other spot was either blown out and choppy or small and rammed , it was a memorable session.

Nice peelers averaging about 3ft, with the odd bigger one coming through between sets.
